Our final concert one night only concert, ACS and orchestra will present two works by two composers of the highest realm! We are thrilled to sing one of the seminal works in all of music, “Christ lag in Todesbanden,” Cantata #4, by J. S. Bach. This is truly one of the master’s great masterpieces, and it is certain to delight and inspire. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, we will present his comforting and consoling “Elegischer Gesang,” (Elegiac Song). We might even ask you to join us in singing Happy Birthday, Ludwig! Concluding our program will be the expansive, revelatory work by Ola Gjeilo, the glorious “Sunrise Mass.”
