Event Details

1964: Greenwich Village. Floundering pianist Cosmé McMoon reminisces about the astonishing musical career of Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy New York socialite infamous for singing out of tune. In 1932, McMoon teamed up with Jenkins hoping that the socialite’s passion for song would lead them to musical success.

For the following dozen years, their odd partnership yielded hilariously off-key recitals, and the duo became the darlings of high society and earned cultish renown. Christine Donahue and Timothy Smith inhabit these two larger-than-life characters for only two special performances benefitting Opera In The Rock.
