QQA 56th Tour of Homes

Join us for the QQA's 56th Tour of Homes in the Pettaway Neighborhood of Little Rock! Pettaway is a neighborhood developed in the early 20th century partly by German immigrants, most notably the Kleinschmidt family whose home will be featured on the tour. It has also been home to several interesting Little Rock personalities. Pettaway has always been a mix of working-class homes, rentals, and more stately architecture. In the past few years, the neighborhood has experienced a revival, and now includes a mixture of rehabilitated historic homes and in-fill modern homes.

How does the Tour Work?

The QQA 56th Tour of Homes happens over two days, and includes three major events: the General Tour, the Candlelight Tour & Gala Dinner, and the Sunday Brunch & Tour. The type of ticket you buy determines the activities you can access during the two days of the event.

After you purchase your tickets, you will get an email from Central Arkansas Tickets closer to the tour dates that gives you addresses of the ticket booths and other important information. Ticket booth locations will also be sent to the local press, who usually list them. We’ll also put that information on our website, Quapaw.com, in the “News” section.

General Tour

After you purchase tickets online, go to one of the ticket booths set up around Pettaway to check in and get a wristband. You'll also be given a brochure that includes a map with the locations of the tour homes. You may use the map to walk to the homes or, if you prefer not to walk, you can use the map to find one of several trolley stops and ride the trolley between groups of homes. You will need to show your wristband to get access to the trolley and to each home on tour. When you arrive at each home, show your wristband to the front-porch tour guide, who will give you access to the home. As you walk through the home, tour guides will tell you about the history and architecture, as well as the previous occupants, current occupants and furnishings. If you don’t buy a ticket online, you can still purchase a ticket the day of the tour by coming to a ticket booth.

Candlelight Tour & Gala Dinner

If you purchase a Candlelight Tour & Gala Dinner Ticket, you will check in at one of the ticket booths in Pettaway starting at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 29. You will receive a wristband and a brochure with a map of the homes. You will need the wristband to get into the homes and to access the free trolleys. There will be two homes with champagne stations, including drinks and hors d'oeuvres. When the tour ends at 7:00 pm, proceed to Morrison Hall at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for the Candlelight Gala Dinner and Silent Auction. The Candlelight Tour moves at a slower pace than day time tours. If you don’t make it to all the houses, don’t worry. You are welcome to come back the next day to view any homes you missed.

Sunday Brunch & Tour

If you purchase a Sunday Brunch and Tour Ticket, you will check in at Curran Hall, 615 E. Capitol Avenue. After you check in, you'll be given wristband and a brochure. Brunch will be served at Curran Hall from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. At 1:00 pm, proceed to the Pettaway neighborhood, where you can simply begin at any home on the tour. You can use your wristband you got when you checked into the brunch to access the homes and the free trolley.
